Interface Expands Partnership with GO Foundation to Support First Nations Students
SYDNEY – March 25, 2026. Interface, the global flooring and sustainability leader, today announced the renewal of its partnership with the Goodes O’Loughlin Foundation (GO), signing a new three-year agreement to continue empowering First Nations students through education.
Since the start of the collaboration, Interface has donated over $600,000 to GO Foundation. The renewed partnership ensures ongoing funding, with a portion of profits from Interface’s Upon Common Ground™ Collection – the locally manufactured carpet tile collection co-created with First Nations students – supporting life-changing scholarships and educational initiatives.
“We co-created Upon Common Ground to be more than just a collection – it reflects our values and commitment to giving back.” said Trish McCann, Director of Marketing Activation – APAC at Interface.
“Renewing our partnership and continuing these donations ensures that First Nations students have the opportunity to succeed on their own terms, while we invest in the future of communities and the incredible young people shaping it.”
Interface’s partnership has supported the growth of initiatives such as Culture Connect Days, bringing GO Scholars together for workshops that deepen students’ cultural identity and strengthen community ties. The Interface collaboration has also expanded GO’s reach, now connecting 77 partner schools and seven universities to broaden educational opportunities and networks with First Nations students.
GO’s CEO, Biripi and Gadigal woman Charlene Davison, highlights the importance of Interface’s ongoing partnership: “Interface’s continued support makes a real difference for our Scholars and in future proofing the strength of our operations. Partnerships like this allow GO to plan effectively for even more growth in our Program; connecting students to opportunities t that strengthen delivery for greater reach and impact.”
Founded by AFL greats Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin, GO Foundation has supported more than 2300 students over the past 16 years. Davison adds, “Adam and Michael, along with our Board and my team, are sincerely grateful to Interface for their renewed commitment to standing alongside us in making a lasting difference in the lives of young Indigenous people and their families.”
