Product Transparency

Doing the right thing.

For Interface, sustainability is a journey. Because of our dedication to transparency, we're constantly working to improve the quality of our products and lessen the impact they have on human health and the environment. This means committing to a circular economy and managing many types of material impacts and trade-offs during product development. And it’s not a path we walk alone – our industry and supply chain partners are there with us along the way.

Mission Zero to Climate Take Back

Interface’s path to sustainability has been ongoing for over 25 years. Discover how far we’ve come, what we’ve learned, and how far we have yet to go.

Transparency Documentation

Interface has consistently shared our progress and data on the impacts of our processes and products. Over the years, we’ve supported tools that encourage transparency, like the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), Health Product Declaration (HPD), and Declare label.

Certifications

To make sure we're "walking the walk," Interface enlists several third-party partners that evaluate the entire product lifecycle and assess the environmental and human health impact of our carpet and LVT. Learn more about each of our certifications and what that means for your next project.

Taking on Healthy Materials

When it comes to the “health” of our products and materials, Interface takes a holistic perspective. We look at not only the health impact of a material during use, but also during its production and at the end of life. We also give plenty of consideration to embodied carbon and circular economy.

Green Building Initiatives

We are lucky to have so many organizations in the green building movement, and over the years Interface has partnered with many of them to encourage sustainable design and development.
