Technical information and support

All our carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) are easy to use – that’s one of the great benefits of modular flooring. But a few things are useful to know, to help you get the best from our products.

Here we give you tips on installation and maintenance, and advice on the most suitable backings for different products and types of interior. There’s also a guide to improving the acoustic performance of your floor, and important information on flammability.

Installing our modular flooring

A big advantage of our products over other types of flooring is easy installation. It’s simple, straightforward, and you can fit large areas quickly – so you save time, which means saving money.

Our carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) are also very easy to remove and replace – one tile at a time, if that’s all you need. So there’s much less waste than with broadloom carpet, saving you more money and helping to protect the environment.

Bringing yet more environmental benefits, you can use our TacTiles® glue-free installation system with nearly all our products. As well as making installation even faster, this prevents subfloor damage and avoids a sticky mess. TacTiles also help keep the air clean, as they contain virtually no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Maintenance makes your floor last even longer

Our flooring is made to last – but to keep it looking fresh for as long as possible, it’s important to clean and maintain it in the right way.

To help you extend the life of your flooring, we’ve produced two maintenance guides – for carpet tiles and LVT – which you can download here. We can also provide training, periodic maintenance, and regular audits.

Maximising your product’s performance

As well as manufacturing to the highest standards of quality and durability, there are two further ways we ensure outstanding performance in your flooring: using the right backing and controlling acoustics.

All Interface modular carpet manufacturing facilities worldwide maintain registration to ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.

For customers seeking Green Star or LEED certification, our product-specific EPDs contribute to the LEED v4 Building Product Disclosure and Optimization credit that rewards product transparency. Check out the EPDs (Environmental Product Declaration) below.

Tested for flame-retardance

You’ll be reassured to know that we test all our carpet tiles and LVT for their fire safety. AWTA Product Testing is an independent materials testing facility available to government instrumentalities, industry, and the general public. AWTA fire tests provide testing to a broad range of industries within Asia and international markets including fibers, yarns, and textiles.

Fire Test Specifications for products manufactured in Asia will be provided by your local account manager.

Find our product specifications

When you’re interested in one of our products, it’s easy to find out more about it on this website. To see the full specification or certification, simply go to the relevant product catalogue – modular carpet or LVT – and find the detail page for your product. Then just click ‘specifications’ to view or download it.

Sanitization Guides

Interface Carpet tiles and LVT flooring unlike other surfaces such as office furniture, light switches and door handles have less exposure risk to COVID-19 because they are not regularly touched by the human hand. We understand that many companies want to take additional precautions in response to COVID-19 transmission concerns as part of their plans to reopen offices and other commercial spaces. This should supplement a focus on hand hygiene and social distancing recommended by the World Health Organisation and further stipulated by local Governments.

The guides below outline best practices for maintaining and sanitising Interface Carpet Tiles and LVT for our customers in APAC.
