Flooring for Renovation and Refurbishment

With the floor being one of the biggest, most noticeable and used surfaces of any space, it is required to be careful and thoughtful with your choice of floor covering material. Whether you are having your space designed newly or refurbished, selecting a product based solely on appeal or price can be one of the costliest mistakes you can make.

Not only your choice of flooring can affect the design and look of your space, but it can also affect the functionality of the area. Additionally, your choice of flooring material can also have an impact on the health of the occupants of your space.

When it comes to your commercial or industrial projects, do you choose flooring products that encourage good indoor air quality, well-being, hygiene, and sustainability?

Interface modular flooring helps you design the perfect, safe and hygienic ambience for your fit-out and/or refurbishment projects. The flooring products that we sell including carpet tile, LVT, and nora®; rubber are carbon neutral across their full product life cycle through our third-party verified Carbon Neutral Floors™ program. When to consider refurbishment or renovation?

Carpet tiles in general have a long life but this mainly depends on the quality of carpet tiles and foot traffic in that area of your space. Although regular cleaning can help to increase the life of your carpet, regular use will mean that it will eventually need replacing.

Some of the signs that you should replace your carpet can be obvious, while others are more difficult to notice. This article will help you learn more on this topic.

Dealing with your old carpet, responsibly

Before we install your new flooring, you’ll probably have some old carpet to remove. This is all part of the service – we call it ReEntry. It saves you a lot of hassle. But much more than that, it diverts your old carpet from landfill – in one of four ways. If it’s still in fair condition, we pass it to social enterprises, who reuse it in community spaces. If that’s not appropriate, we convert the carpet into other products, or recycle it into new carpet.

It’s all part of your organization's corporate responsibility, and you even get a certificate to confirm your contribution.

Tile Inlays - Social Distancing

As we know, the need for physical distancing will need some re-thinking of office spaces designed for connection and collaboration between people. Keeping this in mind, we have created standard arrow inlays to guide people around a space. Please click on the below button to learn more.

Modular Flooring Benefits

Modular flooring not only functions better but also is economical in many ways. With this type of flooring, the savings start during installation – by saving waste. You buy less because you throw less away. And because our flooring is durable and easy to maintain, you see further savings too.

Protection against mold, mildew, and other odor-causing bacteria with Intersept®. Our glue-free TacTiles connectors exclude hazardous materials often found in adhesives.

All our products carry a 15-year warranty – and with proper care and maintenance, they’ll last for many years more. And when you do need to replace them, it’s unlikely to affect an entire room. In most spaces, 20% of the floor gets 80% of the wear. With modular flooring, that’s all you need to replace.
