Pledge to #MakeBeautyHappen

Who needs beauty? As it turns out, we all do. Recent biophilic design research confirms that people are more productive, learn better, heal faster, and have lower stress levels in spaces embodying the principles of biophilic design.

We’re committed to #MakeBeautyHappen and you can join us by taking the pledge via the image above. You can also watch videos, view imagery and sign up to receive our newsletter, which features up to date information about products, projects and more, including insights from other influential architects and designers.

Can a building be green without beauty?

By definition, a green, high-performance building should have measurable, positive impacts on its occupants’ well being, and biophilic design gives designers an approach that can reliably produce these benefits. Terrapin Bright Green has developed both a business case, The Economics of Biophilia, and a guide, 14 Patterns of Biophilic Design, defining the aspects of biophilic design.

We believe that beautiful, biophilic spaces can help bring out the kind of compassionate, creative thinking needed to solve the world’s biggest problems. We call this kind of creativity “beautiful thinking,” and we believe it holds the key to unlocking the next wave of social and environmental innovation.

Google believes this too and has successfully invested in “biophilic design interventions” in their global facilities and measured impacts on wellness, creativity and innovation.

Join us at Greenbuild to learn about our evolution of beautiful thinking and pledge with us to #MakeBeautyHappen.
