More Than Skin Deep
Solution dying injects fibre with colour throughout, not just on the surface. Colour lasts longer, resisting most bleaches and other harmful liquids as well as sun exposure. And with the stain resist technology that’s built into the fibres, you’ve got added protection against staining and soiling with no need for an additional topical treatment.
Modification ratio estimates a fibre’s performance by how “round” it is. The rounder the fibre, the lower the modification ratio, the better it performs. The fibres we use have a modification ratio of 1.5 - 2.1 whereas mill extruded Type 6 Nylon has a ratio of as much as 4.7.
Passing the Test
We go beyond standard wear testing with our proprietary ART – Appearance Retention Test. ART is the only test of its kind to simulate real world usage for 1 year, 5 years, 10 years or more. We simply won’t release a product that doesn’t pass our rigid ART standards.
Doing More With Less
We get superior performance with the highest available post-consumer and post-industrial recycled content. We’ve partnered with our fibre suppliers to continually reduce the virgin content in the fibres we use. Content for these fibres includes everything from the post-consumer Type 6 and 6,6 Nylon fibres we provide through our ReEntry 2.0 program to salvaged commercial fishing nets that Aquafil incorporates into the 100% recycled content Type 6 Nylon we use.

Low vs. Higher Modification Ratio Fibre
To illustrate the superior performance of the fibres we use, we ran a 10 year wet and dry ART test on an Interface product made with fibre that had a modification ratio of less than 2.0, along with a competitive product made with fibre that had a modification ratio of greater than 2.5.
